Zircon3D v3.0 - 3D IoT Visualization for Smart Homes, Small Businesses, and Smart Buildings

We’ve recently released Zircon3D 3.0, with several new features focused on room-level visualization, IoT monitoring, energy systems, and larger building use cases.

Zircon3D started as a way to bring Home Assistant data into an interactive 3D floorplan, but the same approach can also scale to small offices, retail spaces, schools, community facilities, workshops, and other smart-building or IoT projects.

Instead of viewing sensor values only as cards or lists, Zircon3D places the data directly into the context of the building.

Some of the main capabilities include:

  • 3D floorplans and buildings with live Home Assistant entities
  • Floor-level and Room-Level Heatmaps for temperature, humidity, air quality, and other continuous sensor data
  • Room Box View for room-level states such as occupancy, availability, alarms, temperature ranges, or other conditions
  • Floating control cards for devices such as lights, locks, windows, HVAC, switches, cameras, and sensors
  • Dashboards with gauges, property cards, historical line charts, and saved 3D building views
  • Energy and electrical visualization, including solar panels, batteries, EV chargers, electrical routing, and related equipment
  • Multi-floor and larger building views for projects that grow beyond a single home
  • Mobile and tablet support with touch controls for rotating, panning, and zooming

One of the main ideas behind Zircon3D is flexibility. A project can start with a single floor and a few Home Assistant entities, then gradually expand to more rooms, dashboards, energy monitoring, multiple floors, or larger operational views without changing the basic workflow.

For smart homes, this can make Home Assistant more visual and intuitive. For small-business and building use cases, the same 3D model can become a lightweight IoT / digital-twin visualization layer, helping users understand not only what a sensor is reporting, but also where it is happening in the building.

Here are a few examples from Zircon3D showing heatmaps, room-level status, dashboards, energy systems, and device controls.
