ZoneFoundry for Sonos — iOS controller with voice, an MCP server, and a HomeKit "room as light bulb" bridge

Sharing a Sonos controller I built for my own house, now on the App Store (free, iOS 18+). Two bits overlap with what people here do:

  • HomeKit bridge (optional): each Sonos room becomes a light bulb — on = play, brightness = volume — so it slots into HomeKit scenes and automations. That part needs the optional ZoneFoundry Bridge (a small Docker container).
    • MCP server: generate a key in Settings and Claude / ChatGPT or any MCP client can play, search, group rooms, set volume, announce and set reminders. Listed in the official MCP registry (dev.zonefoundry/sonos).
Everything else is app-side: one search box across Apple Music / Spotify / QQ Music / NetEase, voice in English / Mandarin / Cantonese with undo, scenes, whole-home announcements, news briefings, lock-screen Live Activities, Shortcuts and Siri. It works on your Wi-Fi with no account; 46 of 50 features need nothing installed at home (EQ, alarms, battery, line-in are LAN-only because the Sonos cloud API doesn’t expose them).

Not a HA integration itself — but if there’s interest in exposing the relay as a HA service I’d like to hear what you’d want.
