I have several Zooz ZEN32 and they are one of my favorite devices …
I have one of them wired to control the lights on my front porch … I can turn them on and off with the Big Button. Is that button/ light accessible as an entity? I’d like to turn the porch lights on with other automations…what am I missing?
The big button on the Zen32 is the device’s main entity. It acts like any other Z-Wave switch. My Zen32 happens to be named ‘Garage Lights.’ My big button entity is switch.garage_lights. So, just look for an entity in the switch domain with the same name as your front porch Zen32, and you’ve found your big button entity.
You can do just about anything you want with it. I use most of mine to control the fixture they’re hooked to and the rest of the button led as state indicators and dropped some transparent stickers onthe faces so people know what they’re clicking
That occupancy (the two person icon) indicator magenta solid is telling me the room is on hold. It also tells me I forgot to move the entity for entertaining mode (the cocktail glass) is showing off (but I edited that entity this weekend for the house and apparently forgot this one… ) even though it is functionally on driving that magenta blinky..
Also holy carp seeing the speckles - when I dropped that cup it sprayed all the way up there! *grabs a rag and windex.
In short, yes. I (probably should but) didn’t do blueprint, and coded the automation myself.
If you check the device page of the ZEN32, you likely would see events whenever you click any of those buttons, and you can see single click, double click, etc.
With those in mind, you can then use those to trigger automations. Here are my triggers (not all, but you get the idea) where the big button for example would fire scene 005. So with 5 buttons and clicks and hold and double click and triple click, etc… you can do a lot of stuff from one zen32.
