I’m migrating all my ZWave devices from Fibaro’s HC3 to ZWaveJS+HA. I’ve just added my first sensor, a Fibaro FGMS001. In HA, there is no “Motion” option after the sensor was added. It added a binary Switch called “Basic”. How can i fix this?
Also, how can i set associations? I had this sensor associated to a dimmer on my HC3 to turn on the lights on motion.
Try reinterviewing the device. Associations can be setup but you need to use Z-Wave JS UI.
Can you help me set the association in zwavejs ui?
Yes in Z-Wave JS UI you need to click on your node to expand the node settings.
Then click on the groups tab. This will take you to the groups tab where you can view, add or modify associations.
Click add then setup your association
Not sure what the problem is. Everything looks fine to me.
i was able to fix the blinking light problem. It was a tamper alarm that was being activated because the sensor case was open. But i wasn’t ablet to fix the PIR sensor appearing as a “Basic” switch. Tried re-interviewing several times but that didn’t solve. If anybody has an idea, please share.
One of my sensors behave differently and showed a binary sensor instead of a binary switch. They’re apparently the same sensor, but there a slight difference in the model number. I think this is something in the device template.
