ZWA-2 Firmware Update to 7.23.4 coming soon?

Hi Everyone,
Is there an effort, release date, or beta to have the ZWA-2 on SDK 7.23.4?
7.23.4 increases stability as well as allows the ZWA-2 to set priority routes, which I need for some devices.
Hopefully there is a release soon.

My workaround for the priority bug is to backup and restore the nvm on a controller with older firmware, set the routes, and then restore everything on the ZWA-2.

I did the same, ironically I upgraded to the ZWA-2 hoping for more frequent firmware updates. All my other 800 series sticks have the 7.23.4 firmware already!

There’s now a beta release for new firmware if you want to test it: Release 1.2.0 · NabuCasa/zwave-firmware · GitHub

If you use Z-Wave JS UI (which includes v1.0.0 of the Core Z-Wave JS app), go to the firmware updates tab under your controller and enable the “include pre-releases” checkbox.

There is an interesting bug:

  • Fixed an issue where the radio layer would stop receiving packet until the next TX radio event

Could this have something to do with say a thermostat menu being pressed at the physical device and the radio not receiving the mode change?

I loaded the beta firmware and can confirm it fixes the priority route issues. It also drastically improves the Signal levels. 20db’s in some cases. This puts it back to the levels as 500 series adapters. I always wondered why the signal as much worse with the 700/800 so glad to see this fixed. My whole network is performing so much better!

The update fixed my Thermostat T6 issue. Or maybe it was the zwave 1.0:0 update, or maybe both.
