Zwave device changes not registered by HASS for some devices

Hi,

I have moved from OpenHAB to HASS and for some reason some devices are not sending updates to HASS. I am using the following versions:

Core 2025.2.1
Supervisor 2025.02.0
Operating System 14.2
Frontend 20250205.0
docker_version 27.2.0
Z-Wave JS UI Current version: 3.20.
AEON Labs Z=Stick Gen5 USB Controller ZW090 FW: v1.1 SDK: v6.51.10

Running HASS on an ESXi VM with the USB devices added to the VM.

Devices that seem to have issues are:
Reitz-Group.de One Paddle Wall Dimmer Insert 05433: Düwi (53913.00.101.01) (Model: ZW EDAN 300)

Devices that are fine:
Fibaro FGS-221-EN-A-v1.02

For instance device 12. When I toggle it in HASS, everything is fine. As soon as I toggle it using a wall switch (which is associated to the light), the light goes on but HASS does not change the state of the light.

I do not see the events in the Zwave JS UI Controle Panel. I do see them when I toggle the switch using HASS. I have also added MQTT and also in MQTT I do not see the events, but see them when toggling in HASS.

I have checked association and the light is associated with the stick (#1). I have also removed the association and added it again. I have re-interviewed the device multiple times.

I cannot find a polling option either, otherwise I might switch to polling (though I prefer to use associated events for they are a lot quicker off course).

Advanced Zwave options of device

The only thing I have not done is factory defaults of my stick as it contains so many devices and the battery is bad (still waiting for the new bat’s to arrive) and I am really afraid to lose all control of all devices in it.

Anything else I can do? What really puzzles me is that OpenHAB and Homeseer worked fine, and now when switching to HASS, it does not receive updates anymore.

I have created a ZWave JS config export, but haven’t found a way to attached it to this message… it’s too big to add it as preformatted text.

Regards,

Nika.
