Hi,
I’ve set up Zwave with an AEOTEC stick and Zwave JS UI.
I’ve now paired two devices, and things are generally looking great.
Unfortunately, I can’t find any entities for either device (1 x Fibaro Plug, 1 x Hank Scene Controller) in my Home Assistant!
The integration in the Zwave JS UI looks good, though!
Does anyone have any tips for me?
How did you connect Zwave JS UI to Home Assistant?
Did you enter the S2 security pin when you added the devices?
You need to setup the add-on AND the integration. If you go to Settings > Devices and Services you can view a list of all the devices home assistant can interact with and control. If you don’t see something like the following then you didn’t setup the integration.

You either have the addon and likely use HAOS
or
You installed ZUI separately and need to add the
integration
You will not have both the addon and integration. Many have made this mistake in past
This is incorrect. Are you mixing up add-ons and integrations?
If you are using HAOS, then you will install one of either the Z-Wave JS or Z-Wave JS UI add-on. If you are not using HAOS, then you install something like Z-Wave JS UI yourself (container, binary, etc.). Those provide the Z-Wave JS Server (1), which HA connects to via the Z-Wave integration (2).

Every installation of HA requires the integration if you want to use your Z-Wave devices in HA. (Unless you are using MQTT that is).
