I’m now retired. My career has involved electronic and software design and marketing. I wrote my first microprocessor program (we didn’t have apps then) on an intel 4040, assembled by hand, in about 1974. Before that I had written a program using a processor designed by my colleague (I designed the arithmetic unit, which could do among other things cartesian to polar conversions). Now I’m trying to use HA to automate the heating control and solar PV in my home to be more energy efficient.
