I just woke up this morning to a “dark” home assistant on android, which looks hoerible with my dashboard layout which was designed to work only with a white background. I looked up dark mode home assistant and landed up here to this update
There are NO dark/light/auto settings available in my user profile, I believe because I haven’t updated home assistant itself! The android app updated on its own and HA is still an old version and now I am stuck with dark mode! With all due respect, this isn’t the way to release features
That’s different, for the fadein/out function of the script i control this per parameter. Runtime acutally is between 15 and 30 min ( i have to simulate sunrise and sundown, this is a wish from my wife and not discutable ) For all other functions of the Script (status requests etc.) the 60sec are no problem they are naturaly much quicker. First I tested the Flux LED/MagicLight integration but that fits not for all of my needs so wrote my own script.
Did you figure this out? I would like to get the precipitation also. I can’t find enough information on the secondary info attribute. There is more than one precipitation shown so I believe that is causing the issue. Not sure how to call out the correct one?
hi steven, the idea with the starter script works perfect, except nohup but no need for that, shell_command starter_script fires up my led.sh in the background and terminates quickly thats all i need
How to add it would depend on whether you use the UI or YAML mode to configure Lovelace. I use YAML and this is mine (a previous poster shows where to add it using the UI):
just updated HASS to 0.114 and updated the android app as well- it still does not switch to light mode even on changing it from the user profile. I am using it on a Pixel 4, so there’s no chance of android OS issues. ONLY on turning off the dark mode in android does it show up in the light mode again!
GDPR also applies to associations, commercial or not. It is only private people collecting data related to family and friends. A project like Home Assistant that has a clear leadership making decisions must comply with GDPR. I hate GDPR so I am not telling you because I want you to start nagging me with spam and popups. I am just passing on what I know from other open source projects I am associated with.
Adding on top of this that Home Assistant defacto is run by same leader as Nabu Casa there is a likelyhood that a court can find Nabu Casa responsible for the data. And quite honestly that is what I think too. You can no longer separate Nabu Casa from Home Assistant.
