2021.10 Update & Frigate

Did anyone else’s Frigate break/stop working with the 2021.10 update? I’ve tried rebuilding it and confirmed my yaml is formatted and written correctly, but none of my cameras load in the UI. My log just shows this recurring error:

2021-10-07 15:55:52 ERROR (MainThread) [custom_components.frigate.api] Error fetching information from http://ccab4aaf-frigate:5000/api/stats: 502, message='Bad Gateway', url=URL('http://ccab4aaf-frigate:5000/api/stats')

Anyone else? I’m going to try completely uninstalling and reinstalling later on today, but figured I’d check in here, too!

Hello
Yes same probleme on my side after 2021.10 upgrade
I also noticed that in my Integration page, Frigate is not loaded properly as “Retrying issue” message
I didn’t changed anything in my YAML files and in all Frigate configurations

As you will try to reinstall it, could you please let me know if this fix the issue ?
I have a backup (Proxmox Backup) of my HA system before the upgrade, so if necessary I could roll back to previous version to check if the issue is really coming from 2021.10 or from something else

Nope, it didn’t work. I have the same error in my integrations page. I’m going to post a bug on the github page and start looking through the code. It seems like it is just pointed to an incorrect URL, as my error above says the URL is bad. And I thought the ccab4aaf url should be replaced with my home assistant IP/url.

Especially since anytime I use the URL with port 5000 and api/ etc etc after, it is the IP of my instance. It might just be a simple fix, but we’ll see.

I just noticed there is an update to 2010.10.1. I’m going to update and test first before submitting a support/bug report.

Update: I successfully upgraded to 2010.10.1 and Frigate is still not working, still with the same issues. And to add insult to injury, ESPHome asked to update too in my supervisor and now it doesn’t work either.

Submitted to Github, and I’ll keep everyone updated if I get a chance to look through the code.

I had the same issue: luckily I had a 2021.9.7 backup and downgrading fixed everything.

If of any interest it doesn’t look to be the only integration affected: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/ha-2021-10-2-and-shelly4hass-custom-integration/345236

Hi All

Is one of you found a solution to fix this ?
I installed all the recent updates, but no way, I’m still stuck there
I also change my Frigate.yaml content placing below lines below “detect:” as mentionned in Breaking
width: 2304
height: 1296
fps: 20
Thanks

regards

I finally found from where my issue was coming.
Since recent update, I changed as stated in thre ChangeLog the Width/height/fps under Detect, but I discovered that I had to remove also the “-clip” under “Roles:” as not supported anymore
I just had to read my Log which was stated. The message here is saying that my Roles arguments was wrong.

any help ?

Try filing an issue with the developer.

I had the same problems and tried about everything I could think of.

I could solve it now by using simple Frigate NVR instead of Frigate NVR (full access). Success!!
