2022.2: Let's start streamlining!

Similar behavior here, did not try the downgrade.

Any progress on this, is anyone looking into it? Or is this just the way it will be from now on?

Thanks in advance.

Read it on the website, that’s what it’s formatted for. It’s crossposted here automatically and the format comes across this way.

Edit: sorry didn’t see all the other responses to you. Disregard.

Right, I must admit I’m a bit sceptic about that filter myself, Chromecast Audio devices can play the audio track of video files.
If this actually creates problems or breaks some usecase, please open an issue and tag it with the cast integration :+1:

Thanks for the reply.
I don’t have issue myself, but I’ve seen at least one post where a user was complaining his .mp4 were not displayed anymore, which I assumed was related to this (sorry, don’t have a link)

EDIT: Ah, actually, it’s in this very thread

Same here, CPU load is running significantly higher after moving from 2021.11 to 2022.2.

Has anyone noticed that zibgee(ZHA) light groups are significantly slower after this release?

Individual lights still respond instantly, but controlling a group has substantial delay (5 - 10 seconds, depending on the light).

So I discovered. All the more reason to put the link to the ‘proper’ item at the top

Hi all.
I have two installation of home assistant over two raspberry pi4; with 2022 version when i try to load the automation page i receive this message:
Error while loading page automation.
GO BACK
AND THE REGISTER SAY THIS: /frontend_latest/c655194d.js:555:10261 SyntaxError: expected expression, got ‘=’

i have reverted to version 21021.12.10 for the third time.
Has anyone had the same problem as I did?

If it’s not groups, but group of groups? Then there were several issues openend already. And fixed today. Will be in one of the next hotfix releases.

Thanks for the tip, in my make case I had to change the internal_url ( I don’t know why they now base it player using that variable ¯\(ツ)/¯ ) , and in all my scripts add /media… so now I have /media/media/%file%.mp3 ( I mean /media/%mountfolder%/…) , they don’t let us get bored :joy:

Ah cool, it seems like groups of groups, or multiple groups inside of scenes.

Since this update (even the .5 version) my unifi integration only shows my Shelly’s all other devices are gone missing. Any have this experience?

Are they gone, or just disabled? My guess is that it has to do with the update to how device trackers are handled by default.

It was listed as one of the long list of breaking changes in the announcement. The turn on service was removed so this has to be done from an automation now.

Same here…at first, I thought something was wrong. EVERY TV and speaker is active and bright blue??

Hopefully this is an oversight to be fixed and not intentional.

Is it because of the listed change to Chromecast?

Sorry, not quite sure your question

You know there has been a Chromecast change right, because you read the thread. Something to do with the state being idle instead of off.

Is that what you are seeing?

That was reverted in .4 btw
