And you can of course run a purge before you run backup on your own timetable.

Question: is the database purge the only thing theyāre doing at night?
Is the 4:45h the recommended time just because of the purge? Are other add-ons doing some self-maintenance at night? Is this standardized?

i didnt get updates. for one device.
Reinstalled app Re logged in on the app nothing helps exept for a downgrade to 1.3
cant say I recognize that, all of my iOS devices behave like they did before, currently on HA 2025.1.4.
We have several devices, running release and beta iOS companion app.
Seems no issues are logged for that, but if you can reproduce reliably, write it up there please?

Confirm, my 3 iOS devices (iOS 12.x, iOS 15.x, iOS 17.x) with Companion App work same way in 2025.1 as before - i.e. unstable (not updating location/battery data periodically), and this is an old issue which I do not think should be discussed here)))

and yet, if you state is is an old issue, please provide the link, because I checked up to 2023, and couldnāt find any open or closed onesā¦
Which iOS version? Did you check the permissions settings for the companion app to be sure thereās nothing missed there?

Unfortunately, I have not registered an issue in repo for this particular instability. I still suspect that this could be related to my own issues with my particular setup & my devices (incl. stupid restrictions for GPS & internet in my Orcostan). Many people say that they do not have issues with Companion App at all, so I am not 100% confident to say that this is a bug in HA.
I registered one issue (āMobile App: battery_level is different in a dedicated sensor and in device_trackerā) - but it is difficult to reproduce (although I observe it sometimes) - so I let this issue to be auto-closedā¦
Another related issue - āMobile app: device_tracker says āhomeā for a device which was not home for a monthā, still can reproduce (this issue is about a more global problem - sensors are not updated until App is opened).

I have from time to time some weird behaviours which tipically fix by them self or by rebooting the iPhones. Donāt have a trend but suspect it IOS related because the Find My app also stops updating randomly. I really donāt think it is an HA issue.
For me it doesnāt work under Windows10, in no browser. Ctrl+mouse wheel is already pre -assigned there for zooming in the browser window. 
Hey, all! Itās beta day, which means we are working on getting beta cut and the release notes live. Once we have that done, I will either edit this post or reply again pointing yāall to the dedicated backups thread we will use for these forums this month (depending on if people respond or not after this).
As mentioned in the post I am replying to, you will be allowed to post bugs/issues you have with the feature in this thread along with feedback about the new changes and/or anything we have not mentioned yet. We cannot make sweeping changes during beta, but I will absolutely take note of your feedback again to make sure the team understands your pain points.
