2026.4: Infrared never left the chat

I thought my custom theme had broken it, been trying all sorts to fix it, then tried the default and noted it’s still broken there lol! Hope it’s fixed soon.

However all are closed… original and duplicate . And not yet fixed?
Are we going in circles closing as duplicate there on this very nasty bug?

I think you missed the merged fix

I did!
Good to know thx!

Although from the description I wouldn’t have recognized it fixing / being related the quick search

Did anyone notice a very slow startup since 2026.4 ?

I have my prod as well as my dev instances showing the dreaded “Wrapping up startup. Not everything will be available until it is finished.”.
Checked the integration startup time as usual to see if any of them was stalling but no, everything is normal, there is something else.
Everything is available very quickly though, it is just that this message appears for about a minute before the expected “Home Assistant has stated”

What do you mean by “very slow”? You can see in the logs which integrations are taking longer. In general I would say that’s rather normal, that message is part of startup.
I do have one integration that’s unusually slow to start, so maybe my view of this is skewed.

Nope, my slowest integration is 10s.
The problem is still there in safe mode, so not HACS.

It just started to behave like that after 2026.4 update.
A 1 minute long “Wrapping up…” is unusual for my config.

Thanks for the link, so apparently widespread and the fix is coming in next release.

thanks !
(same issue Rpi 4 zbt-1 : USB lost after OS update to 17.2)

correct solution to this is to update the bootloader on the Pi4 rather than to downgrade the OS (as without this update the OS/USB issue will happen to you again with HAOS 17.3 and beyond)…have a look at the GitHub issue linked in the post you replied to for full details

Are there more people over here that don’t have the “Manage Lock” on their smartlock?.

I have a Nuki Pro connected over matter.

I have an SSD attached to the USB port of my RPi4 and the boot of HA is from the SSD. If i update to 17.2 HAOS, i 'll be affected by the actual bug or not?
My RPi 4 model is the following:

That image doesn’t show the eprom version. Follow these steps to check the version & update the eprom if necessary. Chances are you’ll need to update it since you have one of the first revisions of the Pi4

Thanks for the reply. I already updated the eprom when i decided to boot from an SSD… So i really have doubt about it…

The feature of adding a background to sections is really interesting and makes the dashboard look better.

Unfortunately, it also exposes how imperfect the dashboard itself is.

I’d like to have and arrange the sections as shown below.

Unfortunately, this isn’t possible, unless I’m missing something or doing something wrong. The sections will only be arranged as shown below.

Whatever you say, it doesn’t look good.
I think it would be a good idea to work on a more flexible way of arranging sections, especially when the clear goal is for as many users as possible to use them.
