32 channel ethernet relay module – KinCony KC868-H32

@KinCony If I do this I will get an ALARM when the dor is open, but I will not get one when it will be closed, kinda the same thing, still need to poll

@kincony I gen inconsistent values if I poll the input values with `RELAY-GET_INPUT-255,1
I get variations between 196 and 192 wich means that input 3 is active, but I get no alarm for it.

1609924867652 - RELAY-GET_INPUT-255,192,OK
1609924872562 - RELAY-GET_INPUT-255,196,OK
1609930095526 - RELAY-GET_INPUT-255,192,OK
1609930100532 - RELAY-GET_INPUT-255,196,OK
Input 3 is not active, is not connected.

Is definatlly a problem because I get no ALARM message for input 3.

Why questioning my workaround, when you just create video where you also use 2sec poller. I hope integration of device will be added soon in hacs because the 3th party node red implementation is just bad. Sometimes the controller doesn’t update the relay when entity changes status in home assistant. Why idk, bug in node red, home assistant not sending correct to node red, controller can’t handle tcp packets…

make sure when short for input port is good contactor. because short >2s then begin send alarm message. actually we design input port function mainly use by phone app for trigger scene and send alarm message. we suggest use sensor for monitor state by KC868-COL is better.

can you take a video send to me. you can upload your video on Google driver, then give me a link to see.

like i said , video is not possible because it doens’t always happen . here are 3 pictures of debug nodes which clearly point out the controller doesn’t receive the tcp message correctly. and this is just only 1 light . don’t think about it to turn on multiple lights at one with a scene , because only 1 light goes on or none

@KinCony
Hi, do you have any news about the integration of the KC868 in Home Assistant? I got four kc868-h32lw, and I’m planning on getting three more for the home automation project I’m about to develop. I would like to know if the integration will come out soon, and I sincerely hope you will develop the mqtt firmware for the H32LW series as well, I just bought them and I hope I can protect my investment. In short, do you have any news that will allow me to direct development? Also, did I understand correctly? Does KC868 not send an alarm on the change of state on the inputs, but only in the transition from open to and only if the short state lasts at least two seconds? This sounds quite strange to me.
Thank you very much.

when work mode=UDP, controller connect with cloud server, input port use for sensor for trigger scene and send alarm message.
when work mode=TCP Server, you can read the state of input port for monitor.
We have try to develop MQTT for KC868-H32L and KC868-H32LW, but unfortunately, there is not enough hardware resource, not enough RAM, so we will develop MQTT for KC868-H32B new version in furture.

Correct me if I’m thinking wrong -> when I restart HA, all status will be again not synchronized, yes?

So better solution is use the IP method in nodered - yes?

now KC868-H32B new firmware have support MQTT integrate home assistant.

This is really awesome! If I could add a feature suggestion, I would like discovery if possible, like zwave2mqtt have. https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/mqtt/discovery/

thanks for suggestion, maybe in furture. now KC868-H32B can easily to add 6 input port and 32 output with home assistant.

Also Lan mqtt or still only trough wifi?

Will this firmware work on all versions of the KC868-H32 controller? You wrote above that the controller does not have enough hardware resources to implement the MQTT protocol.
Or is the new firmware only for the new KC868-H32B controllers?

Only the B version. I asked him this on YouTube

only support by KC868-H32B, because hardware resource. now old customer will have big discount for H32 replace with H32B.

support wifi MQTT, in furture will update for support LAN mqtt. now is developing for KC868-COLB logical controller support MQTT by LAN. that support 16 digital input, 16 analog input, 5 temperature input, totally 37 channel sensor input port use for home assistant.

Hello, any update with the Lan Mqtt?

Which device is the best for future updates also?

Now KC868-H32B relay controller have support MQTT by LAN.
KC868-COLB also support MQTT by LAN for 16CH DI+ 16CH AI+ 5 DS18B20 temperature sensor input module.

Can you send me links of the products?
