Abode Home Security Status Change as Trigger

Hi Guys,

I am new to Home Assistant and all the options are overwhelming. I am looking a bit of a help on an issue.

I have abode home security. HA detects all sensors etc. But there does not appear to be a state or attribute that stores the current system status: Home, Away, Disarmed.

I would like to use Abode system status change to Armed Home as a trigger. Would this be an event? I looked up the event_type and event_codes but cannot figure out how to use this information.

Any help here would be much appreciated.

Nevermind. I found this: Lights off when alarm armed automation

I will update if i have further questions.

EDIT: there is a state filter and it works as expected. Sorry if I wasted anybody’s time.
