I was still on Zigbee2MQTT version: 1.42.0-2 but now have the same issue.
I’m sure a fix will be here soon, but I assume from the comment I should NOT click the “submit” button, just wait?
I just hope that someone will give clear and simple instructions for those of us not so hot on these things.
Same for me. Though, I even didn’t try to update anything, it just popped out today morning. My HA is still v.2024.11.2 and Zigbee2MQTT v.1.41.0. Everything seems to work by now, but that “submit” button scares me.
I suppose, we all should wat for the above mentioned commit to merge and everything will be ok again?
Update: after a couple of back-up restorations (first auto back-up of 2025.01 (so before I hit the submit button) and afterwards the 2024.12 back-up, everything is up and running again.
I updated HACS tot the latest version, but for now I wait with any further updtes to 2025.01
Same thing here… glad I didn’t hit that submit button…
I’ll follow this topic then to wait how it gets sorted out…
Problem is fixed, Repository has zigbee2mqtt in it.
Perhaps you need to delete Repository and add again.
In order Add the repository, I need to remove it first. But in order to do that I’ll have to remove the addon, which means all the settings and wireless links could be wiped out. Is this the case? This is a really bad scenario.
This did it for me
- Within HA Go to the “Add-On Store”:
HA → Settings → Add-ons → ADD-ON Store - Click on the 3 vertical dots to the upper right and choose “Check for Updates”.
- Refresh the browser site (hit F5 on your kb).
- You will now find “Zigbee2MQTT” again within your Add-on Store.
- Click on “Zigbee2MQTT” and choose “Update”.
- I had to reboot the host to make that “Warning” go away.
All will be back to normal
Addendum:
Beware! There are quite a few breaking changes if your system still runs on Z2M version 1.x.
Before doing that update to the latest version 2.0.0 you should definitely read and understand about these breaking changes and adjust your config accordingly before doing the update!
So, I have 2 places one with 200+ devices and the other with 150+.
I pressed that button on the latter one…
It disappeared…
This is at the summer cottage, the temperature inside is set to some degrees over freezing, so watching the temperature is important so I can start more radiators…
So, I rsetored a backup of just z2m. All sensors worked, but not any plugs or lamps!
Restarted a few times, nothing!
Changed
homeassistant:
enabled: true
to
homeassistant:
enabled: false
restarted z2m
And it worked!
What does this? I got the feeling that it should be true, but what do i know…
Anyway scary, really scary!
I still have the repair pending in Home Assistant after doing this, I don’t want to mess with pressing submit though…
Rebooting the host did the trick for me.
Same Here, after full reboot
Can you tell me how?
What do you mean with “how”?
I am in the add-on and I am offered update 2.0.0-2, is this the right one?
Yes, v.2.0.0-2
reboot the host
HA → Developer Tools → Restart → Advanced Options → Reboot System
Great, that did it, thanks!
It started with me when I did this.
Still looking where to find that update 2.0.0.2
