Then maybe use it to explain your use case. There are lots of units that aren’t readily associated with the core processes of home automation.
You can use whatever units of measurement you like. Look:
If you mean you want it in a drop-down or associated with a device class, explain further (or at all!).

You can always add your own unit of measurement in customize.yaml, if i’m not mistaken, correct?
And…how about voting for your own request…
You can just use it directly. See my example above, or this one, where I use bees as a unit of measurement.
