I setup a Tuya switch last week and it is working like a charm since then. The problem is that, after looking into Pi-Hole statistics, I saw that there are a lot of requests to the Tuya servers (px1.tuyaeu.com).

Is this supposed to be normal? It’s almost the 80% of the requests in my machine.
I have exactly the same thing going on here. Certainly not a fan. Looking for other alternatives.
There are some guides on the forums with instructions on how to extract the local key.
I followed this one: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/alternative-tuya-smart-outlet-setup/51830
with a few modifications and now my outlets are all controlled 100% locally.
