Anyone else need to repair zigbee devices after most recent update to OS 7 and 2012.12.1?

I don’t know if its just coincidence, but I’ve lost multiple zigbee devices that I needed to re-pair today after updating yesterday.

Edit:
I just went through my list of 37 devices. Everything battery powered has an unknown RSSI, which tells me its lost communcation. Everything mains powered has an RSSI

All my battery powered devices are connected, but some lights are behaving poorly after the upgrades

Same here. After latest update some of my light scripts aren’t executing properly. Some lights in a script will not react but others do. Only happens since latest update and I can’t figure it out.

I’ve lost and had to re-pair a number of Ikea Tradfri remotes connected via a Conbee II.

Not a major issue, but rather annoying.

Not all but quite a few of my Aqara door, temperature and motion sensors needed to be re-paired after the same updates as the OP. Problem is that even though they seem to re-pair they actually don’t. The ZHA ‘last seen’ attribute never updates past the time that it was re-paired. I have tried several times to re-pair without much success. Very frustrating and time consuming.

I tried to go back to full backup before update, but it didnt help. Whatever damage was done, was done. So yeah, I had to repair all my battery zigbees (about 20). And i even had to do 1 mains powered one too. Zwaves were all fine (~50 of them).

Thanks for the heads-up. I’ve updated to HA OS 7 and all my Zigbee devices are working fine.

I haven’t updated to HA Core 12.x yet. Looks like I’ll be holding off for a while.

I’m using ZHA over a HUSBZB-1. I’d be interested to hear which hardware and integration combinations are exhibiting this problem.

Thats what I have, so be careful! lol

As noted above, I’m using a Conbee II stick with a Pi4 (HA OS setup) and mostly Ikea Tradfri remotes, switches and plugs (plus a Nest plug that I got free). Just also added a couple of motion sensors, but not really doing much with them yet (and a little disappointed with them so far, have to say).

The switches and remotes (ie the battery stuff) dropped out on me. Mostly just re-pairing has got them working again, but there’s one of the larger remotes which I keep having to re-pair and it’s getting annoying.

I really hope this is something that won’t last long and will get resolved. Up until now the Zigbee side of things has been rock solid and faultless.

You may want to open an issue up on Github; if no one has. I know they will need logs and such. Since mine is working OK now, I couldent provide.

I need to do some more testing first (as I have a second of those remotes but it’s more rarely used) and see if things settle down or whether there’s a pattern involved.

But yes a GH issue will be raised if required.

I’m having a problem with my Hue lights since the update.

Some light scripts work, some don’t, some do but partially. From what I can see the scripts are only partially executing though I’m no expert.

Really annoying so I hope a fix is released soon.

Strange that I’m not seeing more chatter about it here and on Reddit though which makes me paranoid that it’s just me.

Are you using them through the Hue integration? I’ve heard there are some issues with the new v2 version.

I am yes and I started to realise it was to do with Hue groups so did a bit of digging on Google and found that the latest HA update had, for some odd reason, disabled the groups. So just a matter of having to re-enable them.

Found this on GitHub for anyone that is having the same issue https://githubmemory.com/repo/home-assistant/core/issues/61578?page=4

I updated to 12.2 yesterday. All my Zigbee devices came back in ZHA and appear to be working as normal. Again, I’m running HA OS on a RPi 3B+ with a HUSBZB-1 coordinator.

The only difference I’ve seen is lots more lines, and lots more red lines, in the ZHA Visualization page. But again, everything seems to be working fine (so far.) I wonder if it takes a while for the mesh to settle down after an update, plus I added one new device.

I’m wondering something similar.

The night after my update (and last report above) my HA Pi4 crashed completely. First time in ages that happened, and came back up fine after pulling the power and restarting.

Since then things have been much better, basically back to normal and everything has been solid again and connecting fine (and keeping connection).

When I was having the problems I had restarted both Deconz and the host, but that crash and complete reboot seems to have allowed everything to sort it’s life out again. Now (hopefully!) things are back to normal around here and all is good again.

I’ve just had this again, but this time I’ve lost all my smart plugs. I have remotes which still seem to be working, but all the plugs have stopped?

Time to reboot and maybe rebuild yet again…

I have just updated to Home Assistant OS 8.1 (and the same happened when I went to 8.0) but all of my zigbee smart plugs (via Zigbee2mqtt) have disappeared and the Zigbeee channel has been reset to 11 (I use 26) . This is about the third time this has happened and is getting a tad annoying. Anyone else having issues?
