Aqara joins Works with Home Assistant

Works with HA via Matter…wel, when using the T1 kinda works with HA using MQTT but not matter or at least not via M2 hub.

Making 3 devices ha-compatible is pretty much nothing. Also all aqara devices are matter compatible so those must work as per the matter standard.
Quite sad to see that many vendors and devices put the zigbee/matter stamp on all of their devices like there is no tomorrow. It’s not HA failt obviously.
Most of the aqara devices can be managed from HA with the expose to matter way using the default matter integration (a bit tricky as requires a qr code like in the early 2000s so you’ll need two devices but doable)

Just noting, you’re posting a link to a non-official addon to get a camera to function, right?

Does this mean I will also get firmware updates for the Aqata U200 over the Home Assistant interface?

I would love to not use any app by manufacturers for setup and maintenance.
Like even setting up the keypad and fingerprint flow should be in Home Assistant. That is at least the ideal state for me

I think there’s a mistake on Certified Devices, it says Aqara Valve Controller T1 has certified protocol Matter over Thread

But the product page says Matter over Zigbee Valve Controller T1 - Aqara

That is indeed incorrect. Aqara Valve Controller T1 only support Zigbee nativly according to its official specifications (and all resellers that sell it).

Ping @Miranda-GB

Aqara product page only mentiona that their hub can be used as Matter Bridge for it but that does not reflect native capabilities of devices connected to it.

There are multiple errors on the page, it lists devices that don’t work with Matter-over-Thread as certified for Matter-over-Thread.

What’s the use of a list of certified devices when it provides incorrect information? How can a device be certified for a technology it does not even support?
