Aqara wireless switches fail to pair

Not sure if I’m missing something or not. I purchased 4 Aqara wireless mini switches (WXKG11LM) and cannot get them paired to my ConBee II. I’ve tried pairing through Phoscon and they fail every time. I have other Aqara devices and never had a problem. I also just tried pairing an Aqara door sensor that I hadn’t gotten around to and it paired within 30 seconds. I do have a 3’ extension on the ConBee device. I’ve tried sensor, switch and even light with no luck. I’m sure I’m missing something stupid!

Aqara/Xiaomi and Tuya devices are known to have issues pairing due to not following standards. See:

https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/zha#best-practices-to-avoid-pairingconnection-difficulties

Pairing some Xiaomi/Aqara is a lottery and it is not uncommon to have to try 30 times over 30 minutes.

Regardless of Zigbee Coordinator adapter type or Zigbee implementation recommend follow these tips:

In short; update Zigbee Coordinator firmware + connect it via a USB extension cable to a USB 2.0 port to get away from interference sources, add more Zigbee Router devices, then try pair again and again.

Can also try changing the battery, apparently the one it ships with is often lower voltage by the time it gets used. This worked for me.
