Im here in Australia, and im having not much getting the calibration to be accurate. IM waiting for the ability to reset the data to test better, but the biggest issue is the hub going offline
Agreed - I’ve reconnected mine several times now…annoying, but they’re supposed to be releasing a fix this week (was last week but…that’s gone).
The measurements are puzzling at best…it’s hard to tell whether their conversion rate is incorrect or what, but there has been a difference between what Aquaro reports and what HA reports…sometimes as little as 10% which is tolerable, but sometimes Aquaro just … “skps” (?) larger usage like showers. Where one uses perhaps 20 L and there is nothing shown under the detail, but the total increases…but not by the expected amount. (I know what my flow rate is in the shower eg.). Once I can dig out my 20L bucket from under the stored summer furniture (that was my wife…thanks!) I’ll be able to test with a known and controlled amount.
Does anyone have some news on the Aquaro? I was really looking forward to this thing to utilize it for leak detection on my garden irrigation where the pipes are buried underground. But your comments do not sound good…
According to their Kickstarter comments (they still have no forum, Discord or other place for discussion) they’ve moved to bi-weekly updates, so this is a “quiet” week, as their last update was last week…
I’ve begun investigating Droplet, but it doesn’t seem to work well either…and apparently fails with very low flow volumes (guess what a leak is?).
Sigh…there are other more “industrial-strength” meters and measurement devices out there, but, alas, nothing that seems to put info into a usable form (not that I personally could do anything with it in any event!!).
Ive got my unit a couple weeks ago. I haven’t managed to get the tracking to match realistic consumption (it seems they are working on shifting to raw data rather than a calculation to fix it or something). Does anyone on the thread has an issue with the app keep telling you to tighten the sensor? I cant tighten this thing anymore, plastic clamp is slipping off to the sides if I tighten it anymore…
I seem to recall reading about probs with OVERtightening?
And Aquaro has gone silent…nothing on KS that’s new and even email to their support folks now going unanswered. Frustrating.
Hi, I also have installed device and it seems not to be working correctly. I've bought it to detect water leakage, but it seems not so accurate...
They are supposedly working on that accuracy thing...still waiting months later.
Yeah, sadly its been quite slow of a development cycle. They still have updates coming approximately once a month, so Im still hoping they will eventually sort out the issues and even release a basic HA integration (they promised one). I think they are a pretty small crew and are overwhelmed but they have VERY SLOWLY made progress. Latest updated provided manual calibration which in combination with some work on HA side I managed to get somewhat realistic consumption values ~85% accurate atm.
Oh...do tell how you did that, please!! I've got nothing but a mess so far...
Did you buy it from their website? I'm interesting in buying, but their FAQ currently says:

Tracks water usage down to the liter and can even be used for leak detection.
Costs next to nothing and has been working super reliable for me for the last year or so.

Just wanted to leave a small update here.
First of all, I'd like to apologize to everyone whose experience with Aquaro hasn't been what we hoped it would be. Aquaro started as a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, and looking back, we launched earlier than we probably should have. Some issues took much longer to resolve than expected.
For the past months, our focus has been almost entirely on stability and reliability. We've made significant progress, and we're now able to spend much more time improving and expanding Aquaro.
A genuine thank you to everyone who reported bugs, tested beta firmware, shared suggestions, or even challenged our decisions. Aquaro wouldn't exist without the Kickstarter community, and many of the improvements we've made came directly from this Home Assistant community.
We're still here, still listening, and still committed to making Aquaro better. I know trust isn't rebuilt with a forum post—it comes from consistently delivering a better product. That's what we'll keep doing.
Good to know…but it sure would be nice to get measures into HA!!
