There are three major problems with scenes:
-
They activate automatically when editing.
-
The current device state is saved even if unintentionally changed when editing.
-
You cannot see the settings in the scene without clicking each item, so you have no idea if something changed or is wrong.
It is maddening trying to work with scenes with a few dozen Zigbee bulbs divided into groups and 7 WLED controllers. Even if the scenes are very basic with one group and WLED controller presets in one room, it is very difficult to save a scene with everything right.
I just had a single bulb fail to report that it was off, so when I edited the scene and saved it, a group that I wanted off in the scene saved itself in the on state. When a WLED controller disconnects for a few seconds while editing the scene, it will be saved wrong.
