Argon One Active Cooling and Active Linear Cooling Addon

Hi

In first time, thanks for your add-on for Argon and I2C,

Does the automation still work? Because I configured like the post quoted but the double tap does not restart HA.

Thanks in advance

In case if anybody have indentified ArgonOne on another i2c than i2c-0 then please inform, I may share edited β€œlocal” version to be used.

I have the same issue with Debian 11, i2c-3 seems the one to use.

Is there anything physical in the Argon One to check?

I have same i2c

Hi @adamoutler1

Is anyone able to let me know what the issue is here? The app is installed and running, however, the fan is still at 100% when it should be off.

i2c enable and I have checked via terminal its there, the addon has been installed and is successfully running, no related issues in the log, I’m running the latest Hassio on pi4 b 64bit.

Below is the log after install and below that is my config.

Create a Fan Speed entity in Home Assistant: true

Anyway to grab the temp logs, and add them to a card. Kinda new at HA, but learning

I tried the same thing, but it is also not working for me.
Wondering if it has to do with the jumper position, mine is on always on.

The jumper is not for the fan. It is to let the Pi start directly when it gets power without pressing the button on the back.

I was responding to an earlier message where someone talked about the automation to make double pressing the power button restart HA.

OK I’m beaten and can’t get past this error - β€œArgon One was not detected on i2c.” Any suggestions on where to look?

I was looking at my Supervisor logs today, and I see the following in the logs every 3-5 min.:

I’m using Active Cooling, v24.1 on HAOS v7.0/Core 2021.12.3/Supervisor 2021.12.2. I don’t know whether I was seeing this error before my update the other day, as I hadn’t checked logs in awhile.

Thanks.

And a quick PS - I went to look at what CPU temp/fan speed were showing, couldn’t find any sensors for it. Are there, and I’m just missing them? Did I miss something in the config? Or is this part of the reason that I’m seeing the error above in the first place?

Hi,

I have installed the addon, all β€˜looks’ fine, only fan is not starting…
I have Argon40 mini fan. Can I also use this plugin for the Argon40 mini fan please?

Which HA setup You use?
HASS OS, HASS on DEBIAN DOCKER?

I am using HASS OS

Home Assistant OS 7.0

So unfortunately I wont be able to help You.
But I do recommend to check does i2c files do exist and if so, then on which i2c You detect ArgonOne (if at any).

Will do. Thank you.

On the configuration page, the middle entry can create an Argon Fan Speed entity in HA that you can show on a dashboard.

I have this in my configuration yaml file for the cpu temperature.

sensor:
  - platform: systemmonitor
    resources:
      - type: disk_use_percent
        arg: /config
      - type: memory_free
      - type: processor_use
      - type: processor_temperature
