Have never had background running enabled, since early testing, as my phone got VERY hot, and used all battery within a few hours.
And it have been working without this enabled.
Then maybe you can send me Ariela logs so i can check if the app sends or not tracking updates to HA. Like i said, HA had some modifications in the device tracker and its quite possible, HA stopped updating the location.
Yeah, mine was the same. I thought it was my move to nabu casa that caused it. Maybe it was the device tracker updates that did.
Moving to nabu casa should not trigger this. Please send me Ariela logs so i can check it out. Thank you.

Shit. Switched from Lovelace to webui and can’t go back. How? Help!
Carefully swipe from left side of the screen to the right, the Ariela sidebar should pop up where you can go to settings.
Thanks, man. Tried a lot of times to do it carefully. Helped furious and fast swipe from left to right

Hi,
Can you share the Ariela logs again via email and also a screenshot from web ui?
Thank you.
Hello,
Version 1.3.5.5 is out.
What’s new:
- NEW: add notification settings
- fixed display issue when system set dark (night) theme is set
- add support for setting fan mode in climate entities
- add support for setting swing mode in climate entities
Care to explain?
In Ariela -> Settings -> Notification added a system shortcut that will allow changing notification behavior like: light, vibration, sound.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how discovery works -
I set up the hassio mosquitto plugin ( including setting up a user to match )
and tried every single variation ( including addin mqtt to configuration.yaml etc etc )
i could come up with to get it to work, but the in app enabled sensors just dont show up.
Mosquito shows a sucessfull connection from both homeassistant and Ariela, but the sensors are not discovered, im at my wits end.
If you have at least this in your configuration.yaml, the discovery should work:
# Example configuration.yaml entry
mqtt:
discovery: true
discovery_prefix: homeassistant
Also, its quite possible the entities that are discovered do not show up in the UI, but are actually discovered. To check that, go to developer options -> States and check if new entities are added. If are added maybe it will be necessary to add them manually to the UI.
If I add that ha semingly falls back to the older version of mqtt integration and wants a full yaml config ( which i tried aswell already ) the sensors are still nowhere to be seen unfortunately
MQTT recognisez Ariela like this: 1564466330: New client connected from 192.168.178.21 as ArielaMQTTClientandroid_samsung_hero2lte_8.0.0 (p2, c1, k60, u’mqtt’).
Which is correct i suppose ?
