It’s worth looking into a 3 food USB extension cable. I also urge you to make a new post in the zwave section of the forums or seek help on the zwave channel in discord.
I put in a 6 foot extension this AM - that moves the USB Stick well away from all of the hardware I have on that shelf.

I am unable to automate the action state changing without this python script. If you know of a better way please share.
It turns out I’m an idiot and everything I was trying to achieve with this python script was done via the current UI. The issue was I couldn’t find the device because I’d given it a stupid name.
