I know this is technically possible already, but it is not very intuitive so this feature request is more of a UI or simplification request. The idea would essentially be that in the conditions of an automation, whenever you can set “For” xyz time, also include “within past” xyz time.
For example,
so the idea would be to simplify the understanding for users to easily have a condition for an automation that clearly says if something happened within the previous xyz time. E.g. maybe the laundry room door is currently ‘on’/open, but if it had been ‘off’/closed any time in the previous xyz time, continue with the automation.
Again, I know this is currently technically possible, but it’s certainly a lot more to set up than what’s displayed in this feature request.
