Hello all
Since the above update and the introduction of automated backups, the function of backing up to a nas device is no longer shown as an option.
Is this option missing or have i missed something?

I’d suggest dipping into this 600+ post rolling discussion about 2025.1 and backups…
Thank you for this reply
I looked at the post however i could not fide any reference to my question.
In setting the backup one has the option of “on this system” or cloud
I need neither I prefer backing up to my NAs which in turns is backed up to a secondary server
I will continue to search however i fear i will not succeed
Check the settings in system regarding network storage. If you added a network share there, it should show up as an option for automated backups. Note that this is not the same as the Samba backup addon: network resources added there will not show up.
@Edwin_D
Thank you for this input
Last week I re-built my proxmox server from scratch. and when i installed HA i installed it from a back from my server drive.
I thought that HA would have added the add file location automatically …it did not
I did add the shared folder once again and it successfully added to the storage
Yet when creating/configuring a backup i still see only local drives and cloud
Even I try a manual test i cannot see my shared drive.
I must be missing something
Thank you once gain for your assistance
Here the backup option to my NAS is working normal.
Hello all
I tinkered with this and today, following me adding my NAS as default location as shown by @Edwin_D it worked
By dis-abling the local storage it did save on the nas. by selecting both local and remote nas storage it will save the backup to both
Thank you all for this information, you patience and help
