And that reminds me of a friend I have, who is a dog trainer.
She had that same problem with her man and instead of training the man, she decided it was easier to train the dog.
So dog picked up the socks and dropped them in the washing machine and got a treat for it. It worked out perfectly until the man forgot to close the sock drawer.
I guess “organic” automations needs to have the correct triggers and conditions too.

Would be very handy if bathroom is already occupied plus avoids need to invest in expensive extra infrastructure.
