Automation for Diffuser

Hi, hope you all are doing great I was wondering if there is any way to make script/automation for my Air Diffuser that can send me notification when it runs out of water for e.g the water last for 8 hours and if in total it runs for 8 hours it just sends me notification on my phone to refill the water or something along those lines and it turns on automatically when I am home is it possible to achieve this kind of automation?

Am fairly new to home assistant I have seen some crazy automation on youtube so thought might get help from here if this is possible/achieveable for me any help will be appreciated

I’m sure that can be done.
The best way to learn is to just try. Run thru the docs on getting started with the automation editor. If you get stuck, come back with what you have done.

Hi,

so i just added diffuser to my home assistant now from here i have 0 idea how to make an automation is it possible for you to guide me step by step as this is gonna be my first automation ever and am new to home assistant
