what about them going on 4G instead of wifi…I tried using my local adguard DNS url (using the encryptions setting) but it was laagay when used on mobile any better ideas?

Regarding the “4G connection” for young peaople many provider offers free of charge parental controls for mobile connection… so you can use both… WiFi controlled by AdGuard and mobile connection with parental controls.
