Thanks for an awesome project. I wanted to report hear that cheap airtag/itag knockoffs ($4) works great with Bermuda. I bought some random ones on aliexpress for about 3-4 EUR each from various sellers, all of them look exactly the same like this:
And I could easily just add them to Bermuda. I had to turn them on, and then I found them under Bermuda like this:
Yes, they show “Random Mac”, but from my testing they are stable and track well. I used the “isharing” app that they recommend to use in the manual to connect them and change their name, but that is not necessary. A note that I couldn’t find the iTAG when it was “connected” to that app (but maybe it was just a coincidence, but whatever, I rather turned of the app and bluetooth on my android phone → added the tag in bermuda → tadaa).
I plan to put one on my cat’s collar with something like this:
