Avevo già il broker mqtt prima di home-assistant, poi, se non ricordo male, quando passai ad hass non era previsto ancora il broker interno.

Man awesome, you saved my life! I spent the last 2 days trying to config my thermostat in hass by customizing the config made by Fraschi (without having any knowledge). Fortunately my thermostat works the same way as yours so I only had to copy and paste. Now it finally works

Hi, I’m using the BHT-6000 via old tuya and everything is ok, but I would like to disconnect from the cloud. Just one thing: this custom component does not allow me to interact with the thermostat, but it behaves, more or less like the new official integration: like shit xD.
Could you share a step by step (even if honestly everything is quite straightforward) and any configurations? Thanks a lot.

Ciao, sto usando il BHT-6000 via old tuya ed è tutto ok, ma vorrei sganciarmi dal cloud.
Solo che questo custom component non mi permette di interagire con il termostato, ma si comporta, più o meno come l’integrazione ufficiale nuova: una merda xD.
Potresti condividere un passo passo (anche se onestamente è abbastanza lineare il tutto) e eventuali configurazioni? Grazie mille.

Add custom report in HACS and than add integration tuya local.
Give the device id and key (you ca retrive from tuya api cloud)

And that’s clear and easy.
but I cannot start thermostat.
It’s there, I can see programs, I can setup temperature but it won’t work.

Be sure that have the tuya app closed on Smartphone because tuya local allow only one local connection a time
