Which integration did you end up for your Blauberg fan?
Intrested too for the S21 Modbus over IP integration.
Hi all,
Iām installing decentralised MVHR (likely Blauberg) in a ~70m² open-plan kitchen/living space and trying to decide if the WiFi versions are actually worth the extra cost (especially needing 2ā3 units to move 60-100m3).
For those who have them:
Do you run your units 24/7 on low, or only at certain times?
Do you actually use boost mode i.e mainly during cooking besides ducted cooker hood?
Are humidity / COā readings genuinely useful, or more of a novelty (Vs using cheap separate sensors)?
Do you run acrual conditional automations (e.g. humidity-triggered boost), and do they add real value?
IF YOU WERE CHOOSING AGAIN, would you still pay extra for WiFi, or just go for the standard (non-WiFi) version?
I like Home Assistant and automation, but the price jump for multiple units adds up quickly ā so trying to understand real-world usage vs ānice to haveā ![]()
Ā£ā¬$.
Thanks!
I would again go for the S21 Wifi version, that supports Modbus TCP/IP integration. From here you could do automations with environment measurements from other sensors.
The Blauberg app for my AHU works great for quick manual adjustments and boosts.
hey guys,
i just vibecoded this app for homeassistant which is totally capeable to control the S21 over modbus because i was unhappy with the previous solutions:
you can add this app by adding this link as acostum repository in the apps and you can just install it.
There is the posibility to control the S21 with external sensors you have already installed in the house and outside and the control will take this to change the ventilation accordingly. also, there are diffent modi to control the S21, example to avoid to much humidity, or regarding temperature or CO2.
There is also the possibility to use a switch or motion detector to switch on the boost mode (toilet boost etcā¦)
It could be possible that it has some bugs left, I will eventually fix them if i find the time!
Best
Alex
Hi Axel,
thank you for your work!
I am currently using the old app from here jvitkauskas/homeassistant_blauberg_s21 which is working well, besides some limitations (I have a S25 module).
I wanted to try your version without using MQTT. Is this possible?
It seems that your are not initialising a climate entity, so which is your primary entity?
Thanks!
Hi vic. I bumbed a new version with mqtt connection status and optional mqtt connection. Its not tested jet, but you can try it. Aswell i included some new features which i think are helpful⦠specific external sensor selection for automatisation and mean sensor calculation out of different sensor valuesā¦
Actual version 0.2.11
