Calendar refresh/caldav help

I have an awareness dashboard that is on 24/7 on a monitor in my apartment. The weather card, lock card, remote card, and various other sensor cards all work fine and update as expected. The problem is with the calendar card. I can’t get it to update without refreshing the page which is a big hassle. I’ve tried the caldev calendar which integrates my iCal and also the local calendar integration and neither update without a refresh. Also my birthdays and another calendar I subscribe to on my iPhone won’t integrate via caldev. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Can anyone offer any advice?

Did you figure out how to refresh the calendar cards? I’m having the same problem.I tried “refresh_period: 120” but it wasn’t accepted.

I did not. Still waiting for any kind of assistance.

Browser_mod can issue a refresh on command

That only creates a new issue …at least for me. Every time I reset HA the browser mod becomes unusable until I refresh that particular instance.

What do you mean by ‘unusable’?
Does this happen on all devices?

I decided to get a galaxy tab and install fully kiosk browser since I am way more familiar with it. Ihttps://community.home-assistant.io/t/calendar-refresh-caldav-help/778836/8 still don’t understand why the calendar card is the only one in my experience that doesn’t update automatically. Regardless, I have everything setup in portrait orientation.

Is there any way to extend the length of the card down to avoid blank space?

Hi Ryan, you didn’t respond to that unusable matter.
Regarding the layout: have a look at this custom calendar card (I’m using it, also because of the layout possibilities) Family calendar

I have never used FKB but AFAIK, you can set things to happen when there is motion on the in-built cam so you might use that to refresh the view.
