Can I add an Insteon 2844 or 2420 motion sensor and if so, how do I go about it.

Add it to what?
Sadly we’re not mind readers (any more anyway, not after the last time we tried).

Adding it to a HA setup as a device input, perhaps. To control some of the existing Insteon devices or possibly a new Z-Wave device as I replace the old hardware as part of a gradual migration to Z-Wave.
