Esphome has font rendering, but you are welcome to do it in gimp if that floats your boat.
Font rendering will be nice - but I was thinking about making sure messages didn’t have a word split between two lines.

What I should have done was just not reply until I had time to read the docs, but I had to leave to do something for my wife’s business, and wanted to comment on it before I left. When I get a suggestion, I check docs, but it can take me much longer than most to read them (which is frustrating!).
