I was following some different instructions I suspect, so I had never downloaded the add-on package. I assumed it was in the registry of the platform as an official Add-on. A lot of bootstrapping to really get going, thank you for your patience.
Next will be debugging MQTT devices, but at least I have some of the tools to make headway.
Fast response ! Great thanks.
Its seems to hae worked well until i entered the auth key on github
Now the ha instance appears just to be waiting … ( circle going round). I tried repeating ( not sure I shouls). Same result. Do I just need to wait - over 15 mins and counting - or is there something else I should have done
Thanks
Yes. Although I suspect its something I have ( or hav’nt) done Ive followed the instruction to the letter.
Coiped the key and had the succesfuly authorised screen, but when I go back to HA its atill waiting for the authentication authorisation to arrive. I never see the screen at stage 7 step 1. Ive let it run over 30 mins but no option to assign an area.
Ok
Just found this in Home Assistant Core log but not sure what it means ….

Im treating the above as a red herring for now. When I reboot it does not re-occur.
Ive gone back to Github to see if it has correctly registered/authorised HACS.
