I’m revisiting this discussion, I have a Sonoff Dongle E with many malfunction problems and for this reason I purchased a P dongle hoping to resolve them. Only today I read this post, so I tried again from scratch with the E dongle (also because I can’t make the P work, perhaps it needs a firmware update, I don’t know).
Can you tell me if I can hope to solve the problem with the E dongle (I installed 2 meters of cable and today I will move to Usb2 instead of 3). Thank you all
If all of the above versions don’t work for you and if you have Z2M there is an easy way to check not only the firmware but also many other interesting settings:
- Go to your Z2M admin page like 8080
- Settings (Einstellungen) => Tools => Download status (Status herunterladen)
- In the JSON file, search for “revision” and it should jump to the firmware version
- for the P stick, current stable version is 20221226
