[Automations] Compact view

Hi,

One of the main reasons I use yaml for my automations is that it is easier to see the whole flow (compared to the UI).

The UI is beautifully simple but uses so much real estate that I sometimes cannot tell where I am in an automation.

My suggestion (not being a UI guy and having no clue how to do this) is to ask whether there could be a ‘compact’ view that uses more of the horizontal space and less of the vertical space so that one can see the logic without having to scroll for several pages.

I accept that maybe most users have simple automations that don’t require scrolling, but the more we have options like trigger: id: and choose: and the massively useful if:, then: etc , the more likely we will have more complex automations.

Thanks for listening!

[edit: title was called “Compact view for automations, scripts”

I was about to create a feature request on the same topic… let me just +1 this one

For better visibility of this FR, I would recommend to update the topic name with something like
[Automations] Compact view

good idea! - I’ll do that
