Companion app refresh picture element image

Everytime I update the picture (edit) it is not loaded in the app. Forcing it on the PC (SHIFT-F5) does reload.

How do I force a reload on the app?

Pull down on the display to refresh. If that does not work there is a clear frontend cache option in the mobile app settings debugging menu, then pull down to refresh.

It also usually helps if you tell us which mobile app, iOS or Android, but in this case I believe they are the same.

Where is that in the android app… searched for over 5 mins but can’t find it…

So, it is different from iOS.

Is there no better solution? A no-cache-option would be the most helpful here…

I de-selected the solution since I bumped back on my own topic because the app is again not showing my new pictures. I did above but no luck…

Any other tip to force redownloading the pictures via the app?

I have the same problem, with viewing an old picture from my door bell.

the HA frontend uses very heavy caching techniques, when dealing with updated images its best to use a new file name otherwise you will indeed hit this issue. Also the android app does not have a clear cache button as cache is stored differently on Android and sometimes the only way to really clear it out is to clear data in the app which also is not acceptable.

In case anyone stumbles onto this thread in the future, I was able to get the app to reload the new images by going into android settings-> apps → home assistant → storage → clear cache
