Config folder clones itself = 13GB and growing?

Can´t fix this myself? My config folder is copying itself over and over, until the disk space is running out. With a shutdown and deletion of the config folder I can restart HA and then make a “snapshot restore” problem being, the fail than starts over and the problem is “re-imported” to the system?
I have also tried to rename “config” to something else, but it is the same result? see the attached picture.

I do not have a clue when this started, but is is a long time ago (6 month / guessing?)

I am running Homeassistant 115.2 in Docker 19.03.12 on Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS.

How can I get this cleaned up without starting from scratch again?

I have seen this once before but can’t find the topic or remember what the outcome was.

Same here, any idea?

Hi Frank,

No solution found, running HA in Docker on old PC, runs fast and reliable, but I am thinking about a fresh start. This problem keeps eating my storage, slows down the performance. (requires frequent “clean-up”)

Does nobody remember that old thread tom_i was talking about?

Found it. It wasn’t quite the same:

The solution is in this post: Home assistant backup folder repeat itself taking up a lot of space - #20 by kavierkoo

Thanks a million :star_struck:
Just followed :
"I have to do below to remove the links:*

1. docker exec -it hassio_supervisor bash
2. find /data -type l
3. unlink each of them
4. ctrl + p + q
5. docker exec -it homeassistant bash
*6. unlink /config/config"

And all my duplicates are gone :+1:
Got +60gb cleared on my system, and next Snapshort is back to normal size.
