Configuration variable "json_attributes" is deprecated, replace with "json_attributes_topic"

im having issues locating this:

configuration variable “json_attributes” is deprecated, replace with “json_attributes_topic”

9:56 PM components/mqtt/sensor.py (WARNING)

ive used notepad+++ to find the json_attributes in all of the config files the only place it finds it in is core.6 file but multiple times

where could it be hiding?

thanks

It could be in a custom component or package if you use any of them.

Also the fact that you have at least 6 core files is a bit of a worry. What is the "core" file in the config directory?

i only have one core file called core.6

ive searched all custom components and nothing there either

i am on the same boat, searched all my files no appearance of json_attributes, any ideas ?

That’s the sixth time one has been created though. It points to a rather unstable system.

What about in the config/packages folder?

I had the same error and it went away when I updated to 87.1
could not find it on my system either. Can’t remember where I saw it but some said they did away with that error in 87.1 on this forum I believe.

Do you have MQTT sensors? I do, and my config has json_attributes. I changed them to json_attributes_topic and the warning went away. However, I changed back because I haven’t yet worked out the actual impact.

It’s stable been running for 3 years on pi and now onto a nuc
