Can I choose room in configuration.yaml? Example light group or platform switch light?

light:
  - platform: group
    name: Lights muuri
    entities:
      - light.muuri1
      - light.muuri2
      - light.muuri3
      - light.muuri4

  - platform: switch
    name: Khh light
    entity_id: switch.plug_khh_valo

Rooms are “Area” in HA, and you can only do that via the UI as described here How to define AREA in "configuration.yaml"?

The post you mentioned is 2 years old.
And that time I was told that areas are still in progress.
Now, after 2 years, it is expected that areas may be selected in yaml too - unless devs decide to move settings to UI only.
