Configuring Openzwave options.xml

Really new to all of this and I am stuck at the first hurdle of trying to configure the security of the options.xml file for the the openzwave file in

/srv/homeassistant/src/python-openzwave/openzwave/config

I have adjusted the random hex code to one of my choice in the xml file…but when I go to save it using WinSCP i get an error 3 saying permission is denied. I guess its something to do with file permissions but I can’t for the life of me work it out. The z stick works on home home assistant normally, I just want to up the security in the options.xml file.
