I have just subscribed to nabu casa in the hope of using the voice assist functionality. However when I try to use it on my computer I am getting the message:
" Your connection to Home Assistant is not secured using HTTPS. This causes browsers to block Home Assistant from accessing the microphone.
Visit the documentation to learn how to use a secure URL"
When I do to the documentation page as suggested it says " If you want secure remote access, the easiest option is to use Home Assistant cloud"…which is eactly what I did.
I thought the whole point of using nambu casa was to avoid having to do complicated workaround using duckdns etc…am I missing the point or do I still need to jump through hoops to get this working?
I’m not an expert.
Nabu Casa provides secure remote access.
Sounds like you want secure local access which may have different requirements
Can only suggest searching for https local network and seeing if there are any relevant results.
I suspect you are using your local url “http://homeassistant.local:8123” rather than the Nabu Casa one.
The NC ones are like “https://.ui.nabu.casa” (I think)
