Control MCZ Maestro pellet stove via HACore trough MQTT

Another Question here.

I’m having a lot of trouble to connect my RPI4 integrated wifi to my Stove

I tried many things, and ended up on only using ha network update … which works from time to time.
Sometimes after a reboot (update for example) i have to enter the command once for it to work
sometimes I need to run the command … 20 times … and always get
Error: Activating connection failed, check connection settings.

After a while the command works.

Do you have the same problem ?

I also tried to set up a config file on a usb stick, but it does not help.

Thx a lot

nobody ever has this issue ?

Hello,

I currently have a mcz Muse Air confort stove.
The integration works, however, if the stove is turned on manually, the Climate remains in off mode.

Thanks.

@Robbe-B How did you manage to expose all these sensors?
I just switched from local to cloud to get rid of the unreliable RPi that managed the communication.
As i’m reconfiguring everything anyway I’d like to have all the data.
However my stove doesn’t seem to connect to the new maestro app as it doesn’t seem to have bluetooth to do the initial connection.
Any advice would be welcome!

@kimme1024, I’m not entirely sure if your model is a Maestro+ device ?
Currently the integration only works for the cloud connected models with the “new” Maestro+ app (see logo below)

Let me know if this is the case,
Kind regards ,

Hello all
I finally was able to found a work around this issue.
So I’m posting my solution here, in cas for other.

I used a small TP link TL-WR802N router, configured as WISP
WISP mode is router mode so it act like a router

the Wan ISP side is connected to the local WIFI of my MCZ tecla with IP range 192.168.120.x

the LAN side has a static IP of my home lan 192.168.1.253

In my router I added a static route for 192.168.120.1 via 192.168.1.253.

And that’s it :slight_smile: HA can connect like a charm without using it’s internal wifi or wifi dongle.
hope that can help

@cedrickborri,
This should be fixed in v0.5.3.

Hey thanks for your work

@Geerd,
Out of the info you provide me here, I can see your model is a hydro model.
We are still building support for hydro models…
Can you provide me with your diagnostics file ?
Out of curiosity: How can you have temperatures like 126°C ?
Kind Regards Robbe

Hi everyone, first of all, many thanks for all the information shared through this thread.
I’ve started to play with HA one month ago, so I’m not really an expert to be honest.
I’m now trying to integrate my MCZ Boxtherm 60 Air 6 Basic M1 insert into HA and I’m a little lost.
I don’t know what is the simpliest way to do this ? Which intégration or add-on I need to use ?
What are the good step for the @Seb_Lz add-on for example ?
I’ve already made the configuration for the add-on in Cloud mode but I don’t know how to interact with my stove now

Any help will be very appreciated. Thanks

Aurélien

@aurelienbn,
First things first, which mobile app are you using from MCZ ?

The reason I’m asking is to make sure you are not using an Maestro+ device ?
In case it is a maestro+ version and therefore you might have a cloud account
You could use => GitHub - Robbe-B/maestro_mcz: A Home Assistant Custom Component for Maestro MCZ (cloud)

Hi @Robbe-B, I’m using the first one, without Cloud connection and this seems to be the more difficult way

I am using an MCZ Club Hydromatic 16 with a WLAN module FW WLAN version 6.2.41. Do I have a chance to establish a connection with the MCZ Maestro integration? The APP has a device ID HH-000XXXCC (for X = digits). It fails just because you know your username and password. Can anyone help?
