You are correct it has not been updated at all on the US side. Not sure why but I know the recoveries have happened they are just not report them on John Hopkin’s site.
I got it to work but I am getting no results from the graph. I have a 1.27 mortality rate for US and a 4.38 for worldwide showing on the top section but the graph is flat-lined.
Greg, you referring to SparkyDave’s graph? If so depending on if you just setup the sensor, and the duration that shows on the screen it may not change much. Like in Illinois went from 1.27 to 1.28 since I implemented the sensor and graph and so basically looks flat.
Yeah I am using the above config but changed sensor.australia_coronavirus_deaths to sensor.us_coronavirus_deaths. So I guess I am not getting enough data since I set it up.
There was a big jump from 26 recoveries that it’s been showing for weeks in Australia yesterday to over 119 now… they just weren’t getting the data.
Seems odd. For the US we were getting numbers and then went to 0. Not sure if it’s the same database, but the Worldwide seems to mostly work and always update. If there is no new data you’d think the last amount of data that came in would still be pulled. So even if there hasn’t been any new data since it was 26 in your case, should still show 26 until there is more data. In the case of the US it went from a hundred and so or something like that to 0. Great for graphing metrics.
All the data comes from Johns Hopkins. What does their site show?
0 go figure.
Anyone notice that everytime you reboot HA you have to re-add all the Coronavirus integrations each time?
Nope mine are always there.
Odd, mine is always physically there but errors in the log and shows unavailable. Have to remove and add again.
Same here, after every reboot.
Yeah and what’s worse if I have to delete my multiple coronavirus entries and then can’t add them again because when I try and add one it just goes back to the integration list again and have to reboot again so kind of a painful process.
exactly, have to reboot twice as well.
Same here. After a restart, Corona sensor is unavailable. A second restart doesn’t work either.
I will deactivate because it’s annoying to rebind the sensor everytime
Anyone still using this or the fact that the inability for it to reconnect after restart has driven everyone away? I am back to unavailable since upgrading to 0.112.2 as I had to reboot and this is getting annoying. On my third reboot and still no joy. I see all kinds of services retrying over and over with the slow startup, not sure why this one doesn’t.
Didn’t use that anymore since my post above.
Mine is still working fine… Did you try removing the integration and restarting then adding it back?
Do this ALL THE TIME. That’s kind of part of the problem. Almost every restart it doesn’t come back. And you then remove the integration. But you can’t add it back in again for some reason. Selecting it just closes when trying to add. So have to reboot again and then add it back in. Then it’s just a matter of time until any reboot breaks it or an update requires it.
Yup exactly same… 1 chance in a few of it actually working and a restart likely to stop is again… Not working on 112.4 after a few reboots (not sure i will delete /re add just yet)
