[Custom Component] Tapo: Cameras Control

Hi there!

I own a Tapo c310. This integration was working well yesterday (I user Adsguard to block request to TPlink servers).

But today I’m getting this error, any ideas?

HTTPSConnectionPool(host=‘192.168.1.160’, port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: / (Caused by SSLError(SSLError(1, ‘[SSL] record layer failure (_ssl.c:1000)’)))

I have checked the internal IP. It has not changed.

Thanks!

Any brave man out there tried upgrading?

Installed version 1.3.11 Build 231117 Rel.36789n(4555)
Last version 1.3.14 Build 240801 Rel.64983n

I updated a C110 yesterday and touch wood all fine so far.
(not quite same FW as you’re asking about but guess you’re looking at a diff model)

Hi, I am running hass on a raspberry pi and the latest core update 2024.10.2 broke the integration for me.

Hmm, no issues here on my VMware machine

  • Core2024.10.2
  • Supervisor2024.10.0
  • Operating System13.1

HomeAssistant - Tapo: Cameras Control version 5.6.1

Thanks for checking. I found out that there is the same issue reported on github. There’s a mention of 2024.10.1. I have rolled back to 2024.10.0 and the cameras work properly now without any other config change.

It looks like something specific to haos on raspberry pi for hardware versions under 5. I have a fairly old 3b+ and the other reporter was on rpi 4.

Cheers

I keep getting this error every day or so -

HTTPSConnectionPool. Max retries exceeded with url: (Caused by NewConnectionError. Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 113] Host is unreachable’))

So then the cameras don’t work in HA. They work fine though using the native TAPO app still. The only thing that seems to solve it is if I reboot my router and then they load again in HA.

Any help greatly appreciated!

I progressively lost all binary sensors for my C210s and D225. Still same firmware though. Video streams and other sensors are OK. Am I doing something wrong?
