Have you been restarting your HA instance say at least once in a 10 day cycle (based on the recorder defaults)? The purge interval resets with every restart. Thus, if you don’t run for at least 10 days the purge won’t happen.

I reboot often indeed. So probably did not reach the 10 day mark.
Tried to call recorder.purge manualy, but getting an error in the log, that could also be the reason for missing purge. But that’s an issue for another thread.

Is this a RPi limitation, or a microSD card limitation?
Because of RPi prices, I switched my Home Assistant instance to run on an ancient Mac mini 3,1 that was collecting dust. It’s not really more powerful than a RPi, but it seems to run WAY faster.
Specs are Dual-Core 2.26 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 64 GB SSD.
It consumes 26 watts though, so once RPi’s are plentiful and cheap again, I was thinking of migrating back.
